West Palm Beach, FL
How long have you been a Texan?
Since 2013! My childhood was spent in Florida, but I moved to Texas with my family as a teenager. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Kinesiology with a focus on Sports Conditioning.
What drew you to BodySpec?
I really wanted to use my degree, and thought that I could further develop my skills at BodySpec. I’ve been with the team since mid-April, and so far so good!
The team is very inclusive. I was invited to coffee dates right off the bat to get to know my colleagues, and two weeks later we got together for dinner at Korea House. It was so good.
Are you enjoying working in your field?
Absolutely! It’s been amazing to have the opportunity to use my degree and professional training. It’s a pretty great thing to be able to use my knowledge to help people!
In just a short time, I’ve had the opportunity to dig deep and use my degree. There have been times that I’ve gotten to think back on school projects that touched on a subject, that I’m now applying to real life. And it’s been amazing to realize how much I actually enjoy my field of study.
What do you do for fun?
I’m an adrenaline junkie! I love cliff jumping. The higher the better!
It’s funny - just the other day I was chatting with a client who was telling me about the extreme sports she and her husband do together. I told her I’ve never been skydiving, so that might be next on the list. I’m going to start with iFly this summer.
Speaking of summertime, any plans?
No official plans! My roommate and I love to throw boat parties. If you see a party barge on Lake Travis with slides off the side, it's probably us!
I will also go to Florida at some point to see my family. I need to see my sisters and hometown friends. I’m a twin! And also have an older sister too. We are going to take a mini-vacation together too, just the three of us. It’s gonna be great.
