We maintain multiple storefronts across CA (both Northern and Southern CA), WA (Seattle area), TX (Austin and Dallas), Chicago, Denver, Boston, Houston and are actively expanding. Additionally, we offer mobile van clinics that can travel to your preferred location. Our team can also assist with participant recruitment if needed.

All studies are priced independently based on protocol requirements. Factors include location, number of participants, scan type, data and deidentification needs, timeline, and any additional requirements such as monitoring visits or QA documentation. Our brick-and-mortar locations use the GE Lunar iDXA, which is clinical and research grade with a 450 lb weight limit. Our mobile vans use the GE Lunar Prodigy, which is clinical grade with a 350 lb weight limit. All scanners undergo twice-daily fleet-wide quality assurance. We generally recommend brick-and-mortar locations for research studies to ensure the lowest possible margin of error.

We offer flexible scheduling options: email us participant details directly, share a spreadsheet (e.g., Smartsheet, Google Sheets) as a running tracker, or use a study-specific scheduling portal we can set up for your team. Please include any study-specific information required by your protocol, such as participant ID, so we can associate scan data correctly.

We provide raw scanner files (.meb, .dfb), CSV exports with comprehensive regional breakdowns, PDF reports, and custom data formats upon request. Data is typically delivered within 2 business days, often same-day. We have experience with research portals including Clario, Inteleshare/Ambra, and ClinTrak, and can also deliver via shared folders, external drives, or email.

Yes, we have physicians available for scan orders. Body composition scans are wellness exams and do not require a physician read. For bone density scans, our physicians can read results for an additional fee, though most research teams have provided their own physicians.

Timelines vary by protocol, but typical steps include: a qualification meeting (scheduled within 1–2 business days of your inquiry), a price quote (within 2 business days of the meeting), contracting (approximately 2 weeks), and study-specific onboarding such as training, test scans, and QA submission. We recommend reaching out early to allow plenty of time.

We are open to many different types of studies, and each is evaluated on an individual basis. However, we have chosen not to participate in corporate product studies that are validating devices or algorithms against DEXA data.
